Short Description: Telford and Wrekin Council (the Council) have been requested to undertake this Procurement Tender on behalf of Shropshire and Wrekin Fire Authority (SWFA). SWFA are responsible for the management of approximately 8,000 operational Fire Hydrants (FHs) throughout the county of Shropshire. It is proposed to offer an initial 4 year contract (with the option to extend for further period(s) of up to a further 5 years thus giving a maximum 9 year potential total contract period) for the regular inspection and maintenance of approximately 2,000 Fire Hydrants per annum. In addition to the inspection and maintenance, the contractor will be expected to provide SWFA with appropriate technical resource, and assist on in a variety of other areas involving Fire Hydrant management.
