It is anticipated that both play areas will be a blend between play and nature with a heavy influence on creating a biodiverse habitat space that can be enjoyed whilst children play, will encourage interaction with nature and contribute to green corridors passing through the District. This EOI is to ascertain interest in a mini competition for quotes to be held between suppliers to obtain the best price and quality of works for each play area against the summary of works and is also being used to continue to test the market. The Council is seeking to attract both Designers and Installers under a Design and Build project through this EOI. The Council is particularly keen on viewing expressions of interest for designers of play equipment from natural materials as shown in the example and to review case studies. The Council’s final procurement strategy will depend on the responses to this Expression of Interest to decide if the elements are commissioned separately or wrapped into a single package. The Council would consider the novation of the design to the build element to successfully manage the risk in the process. Further information is to be found in our EOI attached.
