This vision involves harnessing advanced technologies such as full-fibre connectivity, 5G networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The scope of work centres on sourcing a wireless technology partner to design, build, and operate a 5G-enabled AR/VR connected tourism experience. This experience will span both within the Colchester Castle building and outdoors along the Roman Walls. The solution should be scalable to accommodate future growth and seamlessly integrate evolving wireless technologies. The contractor is expected to commit to enhancing public cellular 5G coverage across Colchester, addressing existing connectivity gaps.
