Following this procurement exercise there will be further commissioning activity around the review and redesign of other provisions, to include under 65s that include elements of Preventative Support such as Assistive Technology, Care and Housing.
These further requirements will be procured through this DPS to arrive at a point where we can focus on Personalisation and to meet the needs of the individual and promote independence for them and resilience for carers & families.
Some elements to be considered will include ‘Hub and Outreach models’ (providing care both on-site and communities), Extra Care Housing, Innovation in Day Care, Meal Provision, Assisted Bathing that could be aligned to future usage of this DPS.
The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
