II.2.4) Description of procurement: New build construction for a Pathology building at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Bournemouth Dorset (see attached site plan).
The Works – The Works comprise the new build ground floor of laboratories, first floor of laboratories and offices, and second floor of plant rooms/Lift lobbies and a roof over the Plant room/Lift lobbies.
The works will also comprise an outbuilding containing services and storage facilities as well as external works such as a new access road, parking area, soft landscaping and some hard landscaping. The M&E works will be extensive including for the installation of a Pneumatic tube , Ventilation ducts, Electrical cabling and drainage within floor trenches. The enabling works will include for the erection of site hoarding, ground works, installation of services infrastructure. The contractor will need to allow attendance for the installation of Specialist laboratory equipment ( under a separate contract ).
External Works, drainage and external services as also required. There are extensive m & e requirements including lab gases, complex ventilation and cooling, lift, and electrical works.
