Short Description: | The National Gallery is seeking to procure a supplier to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance services for the building fabric and minor building works at its site in Trafalgar Square. The services include, but are not limited to, maintenance and minor works for stonework, joinery, flooring, decorations, carpentry, locks maintenance and repairs, roofs (Sarnar warm roof system) and room refurbishments. The Contractor will be responsible for managing the work force including supplying H&S documents, schedules advising technical aspects and generally supporting the gallery in these fields and more if required. It is the Gallery’s intention to increase the amount of planned maintenance during the period of this agreement; the Contractor will be required to proactively support the Galley in achieving this aim. In addition to the maintenance and minor works requirements of this contract the Contractor may be required to provide project based services to the Gallery. The project work would be varied and could be refurbishment of a small office or a complete suite of rooms or a Gallery, individual projects range in size from approximately £10k-£750k+. These works, which can include 1 large and 4-6 small projects per year, would involve providing a main contractor with service coordinating specialist contractors to deliver a project on time and to budget.
