      II.2.4) Description of procurement: Evelina London Children's Hospital (“ELCH”) is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (the “Employer”) and is the second largest provider of children's services in London. The Evelina vision is to be a world leading centre of life-changing care for children, young people and their families.

In 2005 the Evelina moved into a new hospital at St Thomas. It has been 14 years since ELCH moved in and the hospital is now at capacity. ELCH have carried out many studies of the current hospital and the conclusion is that the design of the hospital does not allow for flexibility or growth. The only current option that ELCH have to grow their services and expand their capacity is to design and construct a new building. The triangular site that is adjacent to the existing Evelina hospital has been chosen for the ELCH expansion (Evelina 2 the “Project”).

The Trust is currently out to tender to procure a development team to design, build and fund the shell & core construction of the triangular site. It is anticipated the shell & core development team appointment will be in place by April 2020.
