Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and Oadby & Wigston Borough Council requires a partner organisation to deliver leisure and cultural services within Hinckley & Bosworth and Oadby & Wigston Boroughs. This will include the investment in and direct management of a number of existing facilities and the development of new facilities. The contract will be awarded for a period of up to 20 years subject to the outcome of the competitive dialogue process. There will be three lots for tender:

Lot 2: Oadby & Wigston Borough Council Facilities and Services

      The Authorities require a partner to deliver leisure services in the boroughs of Hinckley & Bosworth and Oadby & Wigston. The contract will be divided into lots and will include the following:

Lot 1 – Hinckley and Bosworth council facilities and services

The council require a partner to enter into a contract to design, build and operate a new leisure centre to replace the existing facility in Hinckley. The facilities and services may include sports, leisure and cultural facilities, including possible health facilities and library facilities.

Lot 2 – Oadby and Wigston council facilities and services

The council require a partner to design, build and operate existing and possible new facilities at the following facilities:
Parklands Leisure Centre
Oadby Swimming Pool
Wigston Swimming Pool

The facilities may include sports, leisure and cultural facilities, with possible health and library facilities.

Lot 3 – Both Council’s facilities and services

Both Council require bidders to submit bids to operate both Council facilities as lot 3.
