The eligible population is those aged 16+ who are registered with a Dorset GP. The service will provide equitable access to eye care for service users and release capacity from acute settings enabling them to deliver more complex care.

The proposed service falls within the scope of ‘Social and other Specific Services’ set out in the Public Contracts Regulations. Consequently, it is our understanding that any procurement prior to 1st April 2022 will be subject to the current regulation and therefore the Light Touch Regime will apply. The estimated contract value and contract term is inclusive of the contract extension period.
