An outline planning application for the boiler plant room has been applied for currently. The contract would involve the design and construction of a plant room, fuel store and access road for deliveries. A biomass boiler plant would be connected to four existing buildings using buried distribution pipework and would remain on site at the end of the contract period. The Contracting Authority in line with the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 has due regard to be economic, social and environmental well being in Shropshire. Accordingly The Contracting Authority will be looking, in relation to the delivery of this contract, for proposals from contractors that could help provide social value benefits within Shropshire where practicable and to maximize the positive social economic and environmental impact of the proposed contract. |
