      Basildon Borough Council (the "Council") wishes to select a supplier to carry out the supply of temporary street scene agency staff who are where necessary, experienced, capable, competent and hold appropriate formal qualifications or certification appropriate to the tasks which they maybe asked to perform, trained in manual handling and properly equipped with appropriate protective clothing as agreed with the Council. The Council will require the following temporary placements – Waste Collection Operatives (Loaders), Waste Collection Operative (Street Cleaners), Grounds Maintenance Operatives and Building Cleaners.The Council, in accordance with the Social Value Act 2012 will require the contractor to actively participate in the achievement of certain social policy objectives, and accordingly, particular contract conditions may relate to social considerations including, e.g. provisions regarding local training initiatives.
