Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: GB-London: Guidance for online harassment and bullying

Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport is using Delta eSourcing to run this tender exercise

Notice Summary
Title: GB-London: Guidance for online harassment and bullying
Notice type: Competitive Contract Notice
Authority: Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
Nature of contract: Not applicable
Procedure: Not applicable
Short Description: The Government Equalities Office (GEO), part of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS i.e. the Authority), has lead responsibility within Government for promoting equality of opportunity for both women and for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGB&T) people. There is considerable concern about how media representations can, in various ways, communicate and perpetuate sexism and misogyny. In particular, there is widespread disquiet about the bullying and harassment of women online and the wider context of misogyny and sexism across all media channels. GEO would like to procure a Contractor to work in partnership with relevant organisations to produce online guidance regarding online harassment and bullying, specifically for women and for LGB&T groups. This will be hosted on a website (not on a Government website; the successful Contractor will need to propose appropriate hosting arrangements). As well as creation of the online guidance the Contractor will need to undertake appropriate marketing to reach the widest target audience possible. Once the guidance website has been launched the Contractor will be required to maintain it for at least one year and provide reporting information.
