Short Description: Royal Holloway wishes to purchase a number of GMV ground-based robots with both remote control capability as well as autonomous guidance via on-board sensors, cameras and computing. The robots are intended primarily as research platforms making use of the supplied control and guidance and/or customised capabilities to support a wide range of activities. Royal Holloway also requires a controllable robot arm and a LIDAR (Light Detecting and Ranging) system, which may be attached to at least one of the robots. In addition to the equipment, Royal Holloway wishes to purchase two training courses; the first as a general introduction to the equipment and its operation (up to 20 trainees); the second (for up to 12 trainees) covering autonomy software (including a GMV solution used by a Royal Holloway collaborator) and research applications. This RFQ process will be run via the university's Delta e-Sourcing portal and all responses must be submitted electronically via the portal.
