Short Description: The Northern Lighthouse Board have a requirement for the following wind turbines for a period of 4 years: The initial requirement is to trial a wind turbine at Start Point Lighthouse. NLB have received permission from NatureScot to install at this site and have identified a location for the turbine. Potential suppliers will have to participate in this tender exercise including a desktop survey, based on the installation of a single wind turbine at Start Point, in the location identified by NLB. Please note that we do not require delivery of the initial wind turbine until Spring/Summer 2022. Indicative date for site survey is prior to April 2022 and installation in October 2022. The successful tenderer will undertake a site survey and installation report. Following the site survey, the wind turbine is to be installed and commissioned on site during the refurbishment works. The refurbishment works will be undertaken by an NLB appointed contractor; the successful Tenderer will act as a nominated sub-contractor. The successful Tenderer will work with the NLB appointed Principal Contractor and NLB project lead to manage and schedule the works within the time frame allocated for the project. The turbine will remain permanently installed at Start Point Lighthouse on completion of the 6-month trial period which will be preferred during a winter period. On completion of the successful trial, we anticipate that the following sites will be completed. Pentland Skerries, Hyskier, Fair Isle North, Muckle Flugga
