The Authority reserves the right to call-off other surveys of a similar or related nature as required throughout the contract. In the interests of efficient public procurement, associated bodies of the Department for Transport ( including Executive Agencies and Non-Department Public Bodies) and other Government Departments (and their associated bodies), may wish to call off orders for the Services covered by the contract.

   VI.3)Additional Information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. The tender shall be based on the indicative programme in the specification. The undertaking will cover wide area hydrographic surveys of areas around the UK for the updating of UK nautical charts and publications. Other associated ancillary observations may be required. The applicants will be asked to bid on on each indicative area within the programme. There will be a minimum guaranteed expectation of work completed within each surveying 'season' or contract year. The authority reserves the right to call-off other surveys of a similar or related nature as required throughout the contract. Minimum standards for the surveys shall be those described in the latest edition of the document " International Hydrographic Organisation Standards for Hydrographic Surveys" (Special Publication No.44).
