Where more intensive emotional support is required they shall be referred or signposted to relevant support options such as Peer Support or counselling Services.
- Some practical support as required such as assistance with related form filling, accompanying them at relevant appointments, providing supporting letters for applications and assistance with appeals.
- Informal Advocacy and encouragement to develop the skills to advocate for themselves and the Cared for Person; to help make sure that their voice is heard and that they are able to receive the support they need – this in no way replaces the Benefits of or requirement to refer to professional Advocacy Services.

The Service shall be available to Carers meeting the following requirements:
• Aged 18 years or over (including Parent Carers)
•Caring for a person who is Ordinarily Resident in Lincolnshire (as defined by the Department of Health's Guidance on the identification of the Ordinary Residence of people in need of community care Services, England)
•In the case of Strategic Engagement this shall also include Young Carers

The provider will have to have the necessary skills to be able to deliver services to Carers who care for people with specific conditions or circumstances, including but not limited to:
