Description: The Northern Lighthouse Board has a requirement for electrical services to be carried out in compliance with IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. BS 7671:2018. Work must also be carried out in compliance of the Northern Lighthouse Board’s electrical safety rules. Periodic Inspection of electrical installations as per BS7671:2018 including production of Electrical Condition Report. The first periodic inspection and test is to be carried out as detailed below, dates to be agreed with successful contractor. During the period 2 and 5 years of inspection and testing may be required in whole or part. Remedial works may be ordered as per "Electrical Services" below Portable Appliance Testing – to be carried out annually for a period of 5 years as per IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. In Edinburgh we have members of staff who undertake PAT testing, Edinburgh is included in the quotation in the event we need to reverse a backlog of testing. Electrical Services – Minor electrical works with the supply of parts as required. To include emergency call-out services during NLB standard office hours and outwith NLB standard office hours. Please provide information on your call out response times. Preferred onsite response times within 2 hours to the boards premises. For a period of 5 years. Emergency Lighting - Bi Annual Testing and Maintenance of all Emergency Lighting systems in accordance with BSI regulation British Standard BS EN 50172:2004, BS 5266-8, 2004. Testing to take place in September/ March for Edinburgh on a Saturday morning and May/November in Oban on evening or weekend day (Dates to be mutually agreed with both parties). For a period of 5 years. The successful service contractor will be responsible for: •Arrange for Technicians to attend Site •Supply all tools and ladders required to access Emergency Lighting The Certification of completion must include a record of each light pass or failure and any minor repair action taken for each visit. A copy of this must be made available to NLB no later than 2 weeks after the scheduled Testing and Maintenance Visit. Any major repairs or replacement parts required as a result of the inspection must be notified in writing and should only be replaced on receipt of an official purchase order from the Board. Please note services may be required to be carried out within normal working hours, weekend or public holidays. The contract requirements have been expressed as lots. Tenderers have the opportunity to bid for each lot including single offers or both lots. This allows greater flexibility and there is no limit to the number of offers you can make. Please note there will be one contract document and notice published and a tender box for each of the below lots.
