Backgound to the project.
The Surveying and Establishment of a Comprehensive Database for the Marine Environment of Kuwait project, also known as the ‘eMISKMarine Implementation Project’ is a project being commissioned by the Kuwait Environment Public Authority (EPA) to support the EPA in fulfilling its requirements in accordance with the Environment Protection Law for the State of Kuwait (Law 42 of 2014). The Environment Protection Law requires the EPA to develop and conduct comprehensive environmental surveys and monitoring programmes, and to establish an environmental database and provide information to support decision making. The eMISKMarine Implementation Project will support the EPA in meeting these requirements for the marine environment.

In order to deliver the Implementation Project in an effective way, The Authority requires a range of field-based surveys to be conducted in order to acquire baseline and monitoring data across the marine environment of Kuwait. The Authority therefore seeks Contractors capable of providing one or more of the following:

•Lot 1 - Inshore and offshore trawling surveys;
•Lot 2 - Bird and cetacean surveys;
•Lot 3 - Habitat, algae and litter surveys;
•Lot 4 - Dive surveys;
•Lot 5 - Water sampling;
