Notice Summary |
---|
Title: | Patient survey, monitoring and questionnaire services. |
Notice type: | Contract Notice |
Authority: | Sheffield Teaching Hospitals |
Nature of contract: | Services |
Procedure: | Restricted |
Short Description: | We are looking for a Supplier to provide both or one of the following service streams. The Friends and Family Test. This is currently mandatory for acute inpatients, A&E and maternity services. In order to ensure that the data can be reliably compared, Trusts across England collect the information in a similar way, using the same question and applying common methodological approaches. Local Survey Programme. The Trust’s Local Survey Programme currently consists of using hand-held digital devices to collect systematic ‘on the spot’ reports from patients within the hospital. The system has the flexibility to collect and analyse data on the essential aspects of patient experience and locally tailored questions, where clinical staff or managers want to check how they are doing at ward level or with the progress of specific improvement initiatives. Approximately 450 patient interviews are undertaken by trained volunteers each month and reporting/feedback is near real-time. However, the system is resource intensive as it relies on a team of around 50 volunteers and the number of surveys undertaken is limited by volunteer capacity. The Trust is keen to explore other systems that may increase and improve feedback, in particular systems which enable local surveys to be offered to all patients, rather than just a sample. |
