The Authority is seeking to award contract(s) for the provision and installation of boundary fencing at a range of their properties located across Wirral. The Contract is to be divided into 3 Lots
The requirement includes the removal and replacement of timber front and rear fencing and gates to dwellings and general estate timber fencing to footpaths, open spaces etc across the WPH property portfolio in Wirral. Metal fencing, mesh fencing and brick boundary walls may also require renewal within the contract period. Some properties require the replacement of timber front fencing and gates with metal fencing.
WPH reserve the right to change the design of any of the boundary treatments during the course of the contract period.

Renewal of timber fencing and gates to properties on any of the Authorities estates. Metal fencing, mesh fencing and brick boundary walls may also be required as part of this provision.

Lot 1 is for an 18 month contract comprising the removal and replacement of

general estate timber fencing to footpaths, open spaces etc.
Timber fencing as described will make up the bulk of the requirement however metal fencing, mesh fencing and brick boundary walls may also require renewal within the contract period.
In addition to renewal/ replacement of existing fencing and boundary walls the requirement may include the provision and installation of timber or metal fencing and brick boundary walls to properties where such boundary fencing is not already present.
WPH reserve the right to change the design of any of the boundary treatments during the contract period.
All properties will be occupied during the course of the works.
The anticipated requirement is for replacement and renewal of existing boundary fencing to approximately 250 properties during 2013/14 and to a further anticipated 175 properties, during 2014/15.
However these figures are indicative and is for information only and volumes/ levels of business cannot be guaranteed The works may be carried out on any of WPH’s estates, within Wirral as required by the Contracting Authority

Title: Batch Fencing
1)Short Description:
Removal and replacement of predominantly timber fencing and gates at properties that have become vacant although may be occupied when the work is carried out.

Batch Fencing works at each property are generally smaller in scale and more variable in content than the Lot 1 - Programmed Fencing and may involve a small number of panels or larger lengths of fencing.
The works may be carried out on any of WPH’s estates, within Wirral as required by the Contracting Authority. WPH manage up to 1000 void properties in any one year, not all will require complete fencing renewal, some will be in flats where a whole boundary fence may be required, some single properties where a single panel may only need replacing. For information last year WPH replaced/ installed new fencing to 200 properties.
The requirement therefore is likely to be called off in batches of various sizes (as and when required based on the frequency of properties becoming void), however any figures given are indicative only based on historical information and is for information only and volumes/ levels of business cannot be guaranteed.
