This variation has been undertaken on the basis of Regulation 72(1)(b)(ii) because a change in contractor would cause significant inconvenience and also a substantial duplication of costs.

The original contract is for Programme Support Office services. Additional necessary services have been added to the contract.
The total value of the additional services are £278,800.00 GBP for Year 1 and £755,107.50, GBP in Year 2.
When added to the original contract value agreed at award, the revised total contract value is a sum no greater than 5,554,000 GBP

    Mace was originally contracted at award to supply services for a Programme Office Support contract function consultancy services to the value of 4,620,000.00 GBP.
The Programme Support Office contract provides Project Controls, Project Management and Commercial Management services for Transport for the North’s Northern Powerhouse Rail programme.
The subsequent addition of additional services to contract have raised the contact value by a further 934,000 GBP to a new total at 5,554,000 GBP
