The VTF seeks to better understand, and explore the possibilities for, plant-derived vaccines from potential suppliers who are experienced in pharmaceutical production. We are looking to establish a UK-based manufacturing capability to produce these vaccines and are willing to invest to bring this about. Should we proceed to procurement, it will be for the purchase of vaccines, derived from plants, produced in UK-based facilities. One of the objectives of this exercise is to inform the procurement strategy including establishing the extent of funding required.
