      This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been issued to the open market to seek expressions of interest from suppliers who wish to participate in a market engagement exercise that will assist Essex County Council (ECC) in understanding the option for replacement contract(s) to the current "Integrated Waste Handling Contract".

Services currently provided as part of this contract include Operation and Maintenance of Essex County Council's Network of 21 Recycling Centres and 5 Transfer Stations, Haulage and Recyclate Management.

The Authority is investigating all future delivery options including disaggregating the current contract by service theme, multiple geographical based contracts, and in house delivery.

      ECC are engaging with the market to shape the replacement of the current "Integrated Waste Handling Contract". Services currently provided include the Operation & Maintenance of 21 Recycling Centres and 5 Transfer Stations, Haulage, and Recyclate Management.

ECC is investigating all future delivery options including disaggregating the current contract by service theme, multiple geographical based contracts, and in-house delivery.

ECC would like to engage with suppliers who have the capabilities to deliver all or part of the services currently managed under our "Integrated Waste Handling Contract" in order to shape a procurement that is cost effective for Essex tax payers whilst delivering innovation and high quality services.

ECC would like to speak to suppliers with capabilities in the following areas:
Waste Transfer Station Management
Haulage
Recycling Centre Operation and Management
Lease or Purchase of Yellow Plant
Management of Recyclates
Facilities Management

Sessions will be held on 23rd, 24th and 25th June. Respondents will be selected to participate based on the range of relevant of experience ensuring representation across all applicable sectors. ECC will be in contact to arrange appointment times
