Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust (The Trust) now wishes to demolish the Upper Ramp and create space for the Trust future developments. The proposed works involves the careful demolition of Block 46, 50, 51, local Boiler Plant room and associated ramp corridor. It also includes services diversion for Bock 54, Asbestos removal, construction of car parks, provision of works compound and an access route for the new Urgent Care and Assessment Block, together with improvement of the road network.

Scope of the project

•Provision and maintenance of utilities to Block 54 until 2020/21;
•Diversion of all services currently routed through the Ramp;
•Demolition of Block 46, 50, 51, local Boiler Plant Room and associated ramp corridor as far as the fire doors in the corridor linking Level 2 DOK and PEW;
•Grading of the released land and formation of a new 90-spaces tarmacked visitor car park;
•Levelling the sloped green area in the main staff car park and creating a new design staff cark park with reallocated spaces;

•Additional external lighting.
