Short Description: The National Information Board, which incorporates the Department of Health and its Arm’s Length Bodies, has agreed a set of commitments aimed at making better use of data and technology to deliver personalised health and care. The commitments are set out in the portfolio referred to as Paperless 2020 (P2020). It is the responsibility of NHS Digital to manage and deliver the P2020 commitments on behalf of the health and care system. NHS Digital is therefore undertaking a review of readiness, in terms of capacity and capability, to deliver the P2020 portfolio. This is referred to as an organisational “Capability Review”. The Capability Review final report, which covers all of NHS Digital, will address the following questions: i.Does NHS Digital have the appropriate capabilities to deliver its commitments to the 5-Year Forward View (5YFV) and in particular P2020? ii.Are the right management, governance and assurance processes and methods in place to deliver on the commitments? iii.Does NHS Digital have the right talent, skill mix, leadership structure and diversity of workforce?
