Stoke-on-Trent City Council is one of thirteen partners in ARBOR – a project to accelerate the use of biomass fuel across Europe. ARBOR is 50% funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg IVb NWE Programme, the remaining 50% match-funding is provided by the thirteen partners.
As part of ARBOR, the City Council has sought to establish a closed-loop biomass supply chain within the City and therefore wishes to retain the biomass material generated through the provision of this service.
