      This is a contract for an independent housing advice service for the residents of South Gloucestershire on behalf of the Council under the Housing Act 1996, Part VII (as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002). The service will consist of both drop in and phone advice sessions covering tenancy relations work, debt advice and mortgage repossession and follow up service to clients, where homelessness was previously prevented, or delayed. The contract term is for three years with an option to extend for a further eighteen months. It is envisaged that T.U.P.E will apply to this tender. There are currently two members of staff fully dedicated to this contract. One is full time, working a standard 37.5 hour week and the other is part time, working 21 hours each week.
