II.2.4) Description of the procurement: Highsted Grammar School is a small girls’ grammar school situated in the North Kent town of Sittingbourne. We were one of the first to convert to academy status in the Autumn term 2010. The school itself is a high-performing girls’ school, were pastoral care and enrichment feature as highly as academic success. Having featured three times in Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector’s list of outstanding schools, we are proud to play a leading role in the education of young people in our area.
We have 688 pupils and 154 post 16 pupils. Increasing to 697 pupils and 220 post 16 pupils by 2027. Currently 81 pupils qualify for r Free School Meals.
The current value of our School Uniform spend is in excess of £165.00. We have a school uniform shop here at school, parents can also purchase on-line. We sell second hand uniform in the shop and FSM students have their uniform paid for if necessary. We also gift uniform periodically. Mandatory items include Kilt, Blazer with school logo embroidered, jumper skort, hoodie and blouse. We also have options such as water-resistant finishes for blazers, there are pocket / zip options here as well plus anti-microbial finishes for sportswear. The contract is intended to commence on 1st January 2025 and will be for a period of 3
years, ending 31st December 2027.
