      This tender is for the purpose of setting up a catalogue-based supply framework contract for outdoor play equipment for use in public parks and open spaces across Bristol. Bristol City Council are intending to develop, install and/or renew up 40 play areas across the city over the next two years. In addition, there is a continuous and ongoing requirement for the purchase of play equipment to enable the replacement of defective or broken equipment, and upgrade and maintain our play areas through an annual programme of works. Bristol City Council wishes to establish a catalogue-based supply and service framework contract with a range of play equipment manufacturers and manufacturers suppliers that will enable us to draw-off contracts for purchase as and when the equipment is required. Types of equipment to be included are traditional and innovative playground equipment, of steel, timber and plastic construction, including multi piece apparatus. This supply and service framework contract will also cover the supplementary services of installation of equipment where our own workforce or private contractors do not have the capacity or the skills to install such equipment on individual projects/sites. In addition we seek to include for the ordering and installation of safer surfacing, trim-trail/ fitness equipment, and Multi-use games areas enclosure, end stops and surfacing, line marking and related equipment. It is envisaged that this supply framework contract will provide market leading cost solutions for playground related products. Suppliers are advised that there is no guarantee of any orders or work under this framework. The framework is for a duration of 36 months with an option for Bristol City Council to extend the framework contract for up to twelve further months.
