      II.2.4) Description of the procurement: The external areas to Council housing estates are lit by approximately 3,000 lamp columns currently fitted with standard sodium luminaires, with no controls to aid with energy savings or any method of reporting back if a luminaire is not working. As part of the continued search for efficiencies it is proposed to upgrade the external estate lighting with LED luminaries and their control system.

This procurement is therefore aimed at appointing a suitably qualified and experienced supplier, to deliver the Council's requirements including support for the installation and operation of the whole system in order to achieve overall efficiencies.
