II.1.4) Short description:
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is seeking to identify a suitable and capable sterile services partner. The Trust estimates a peak annual throughput of approximately 5 million instruments, including endoscopy scopes. The Trust are looking to move the existing sterile services activity that is currently delivered on the Southampton General Hospital site to an offsite location.The likely term of the contract will be at least 15 years.
An expression of interest in this market engagement exercise will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. The subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wishing to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement when published. Please note that this is not a Selection Questionnaire (SQ), we are using this PIN to communicate to interested parties. A decision has yet to be taken as to which procedure will be used for this procurement.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
The existing Decontamination Service processes circa 160,000 trays of surgical instruments and 80,000 single instruments annually plus 37,000 Endoscopy instruments. The key aim of the service is to maintain excellent decontamination standards, traceability and delivery for a range of specialities.The Trust is undertaking a theatre expansion programme that will exceed internal decontamination capacity within 5 years.Whilst the Trust has identified land for this purpose at the Bargain Farm site, Adanac Park,Southampton alternative proposals will be considered for the delivery of the service. Interest is sought from partners who might offer one or all of: design, build, finance, and operate a decontamination service. Due to the location this service may be of interest to neighbouring south coast and STP Trusts.

The Trust intends to hold a Presentation Day in late August 2019 where suppliers, who express an interest, will be invited to attend. This event will allow suppliers the opportunity to understand the requirements of the Trust and will include visits to the existing SSDU and the proposed development site.Supplier surgeries will be available.A maximum of two representatives per interested supplier.
