      II.2.4) Description of the procurement: The council wishes to procure a supply of services in respect of Ground Investigation Drilling. Lincs Laboratory undertakes ground investigation work throughout the county of Lincolnshire and on occasion, outside of the county on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council, other local authorities and private clients. The investigation techniques required for this contract are cable percussion, rotary and window sampling. Work is often requested on a quick turnaround and the successful contractor will be expected, within reason, to meet the tight timescales dictated by our clients. The majority of the ground investigations are small scale and as such site works may only last one or two days. Larger investigations are undertaken, but these are less frequent. Samples will need to be dropped off at the laboratory on a daily basis. The Council’s detailed requirements are defined in the Specification in the ITT.
