Title: | GB-Liverpool: DNA Synthesis |
Notice type: | Competitive Contract Notice |
Authority: | The University of Liverpool |
Nature of contract: | Not applicable |
Procedure: | Not applicable |
Short Description: | The University of Liverpool has recently been awarded a substantial investment as part of the BBSRC road map for synthetic biology. The facility, GeneMill, will provide access to DNA synthesis, construction and phenotyping for the UK research community, developing high-throughput construct design, assembly and QC workflows. Crucial to this venture is to build sufficient Molecular Biology capacity to meet the needs of our target community. We now seek to purchase those DNA synthesis and molecular biology reagents. It is important to note that GeneMill is predicted to grow rapidly and so this tender should be seen as the beginning of a working relationship, not as a one-off purchase. We may purchase each lot from a different supplier and therefore you do not have to bid for all 5 Lots: Lot 1 – Clonal DNA Synthesis (up to 1000 clones) Lot 2 – Linear DNA Fragments (up to 1000 DNA fragments) Lot 3 – Oligonucleotide Synthesis (up to 500,000 nt of ssDNA oligonucleotides) Lot 4 – DNA Manipulation Lot 5 – DNA Construct Assembly |
