The Council, like many local authorities has significant concerns over a small but significant number of hard to place young people aged from 11 to 17. Children and young people who need the care, help and protection of the Council will have experienced loss, rejection and other traumatic events. They may also have a range of risk factors including Child Sexual Exploitation ("CSE"), possible gang affiliation, in addition to high levels of neglect and abuse that mean a high level of care, experience and dedication is needed to ensure these children and young people are able to thrive and succeed into an independent and happy adulthood. We are therefore seeking a provider who has a proven track record and ability to run a Children’s Home that specialises in addressing the needs of this complex group.
The contract will be for a period of three years commencing on 1st June 2018 and subject to an extension of a period of up to two years at the absolute discretion of the Council.
